Sony demonstrerer OLED-skjermer med 1 million : 1 kontrastforhold (nå kan en jo stille spørsmålstegn til hvordan denne kontrasten beregnes, men det høres imponerende ut i forhold til f.eks. LCD/Plasma):

DailyTech - Sony's 11-inch and 27-inch OLEDs at Display 2007

According to AV Watch, the 11-inch model has a 1024x600 resolution, while the 27-inch holds a 1920x1080 resolution. Both models have a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, which can also go beyond that. Also both displays have greater than 100% NTSC color reproduction with peak brightness at 600cd/m2 and a white peak at 200cd/m2. Both models come with HDMI and DC input.

The big seller for this new technology, hoever, is the thickness of the design. The 11-inch model has a thickness of 3mm, while the 27-inch panel has a thickness of 9mm. Another big bonus is the displays reduction in power consumption compared to LCDs and plasma screens, making the OLED an eco-friendly device.
EDIT: Dailytech hadde oppgitt feil oppløsning på 27-tommeren. Den riktige oppløsningen er 1920 x 1080.
