Mitsubishi has created a giant OLED video globe to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Tokyo Science Museum. The 6m aluminium globe hangs 18m in the air, and is covered in over 10,000 OLED panels.

Each of the panels measures 96x96mm, and the projections have a resolution of more than 10m pixels. Their composite image shows Earth views recorded by weather satellite. Mitsubishi says the OLED scaleable technolgy used will be expanded to all sorts of energy-saving display applications in the future. We just want a giant globe TV in our living-room, right now...
