HC7000 and HC6500:

Mitsubishi Electric presents premium home cinema

HC7000 and HC6500 are Mitsubishi Electric's new high-end projectors for film enthusiasts. Full HD resolution, extraordinarily high contrast ratio and practically inaudible fan noise are generating enthusiasm among film lovers everywhere. And the elegant design and high-quality effect coating lend them an equally perfect image. These two top models from the Japanese home cinema specialists are making their debut at the IFA 2008 in Berlin.

First-class projections, innovative technological features and intuitive operation characterise the current LCD projectors from Mitsubishi Electric. The technical highlight of the HC7000 is the first ever use of the diamond black iris. Thanks to its extremely short response time in combination with a newly developed compensator in the light channel, it achieves an extraordinary contrast ratio of 72,000:1. This results in high-contrast pictures that include all finely graduated nuances from the deepest blacks to the most brilliant whites. Like the HC6500, the HC7000 also has a special full HD lens that delivers uniformly sharp details and edges across the entire screen. Dark scenes are optimised and light ones never appear faded, guaranteeing an unforgettable film experience.

The operating noise level is at the absolute top of its class in the home cinema projector segment. At just 17 dB, both models are virtually silent during normal film operation.

Consistently oriented toward the needs of the user, the proven Mitsubishi Electric operating concept and the ex factory standard configurations ensure optimal projection quality. In addition, the new LCD projectors are equipped with numerous functions that enable experienced film enthusiasts to customise their individual settings. Both HC7000 and HC6500 have two anamorphic setting modes. In combination with a special anamorphic lens available from specialised dealers, these settings can then be used to project a Cinemascope image without displaying bothersome black bars. This means all pixels of the 16:9 panel can be fully utilised. In addition, the advanced HQVTM chip from Silicon Optix makes it possible to achieve outstanding image processing results even from conventional DVD sources.

Projector installation is easy even under unfavourable room conditions thanks to sophisticated features such as the motorised zoom/focus and lens shift functions. These permit users to make rough as well as fine adjustments conveniently via the remote control. And the 5000-hour lamp service life promises many long, uninterrupted evenings of film-viewing entertainment with the HC7000 and HC6500 from Mitsubishi Electric. Both projectors are available from retailers as of end of September 2008.
