xbox mod gone FRAG, then RED.

Jeg kopierer bare inn det samme som jeg skrev på et utenlands forum for enkelthets skyld. Regner med dere forstår stavanger-engelsken min....

Ok, here goes: Xbox 1.6 vs Xenium ICE (the white one)

I tested the xbox first. Everything OK. I soldered the LPC points (on the bottom of the MoBo), taking all the time I could to do it right the first time. When I had doubblechecked, and tripple checked all solderpads and wire-routes I started the "D0" mod on the top of the MoBo.

I soldered a wire from the "D0" (which is not really a D0). Then I connected the Xenium chip to the pin headers (pre soldered pins), and soldered the D0 cable to the D0 point on the xenium.

I then rebuilt the xbox and connected AV, power and one controller.
Tried to boot up. It started all right, but then followed by (I think it was FRAG) led lights. I tried booting it a coupple of times, but without any luck.

Then I dismounted the xbox, just to see the xenium connected 180 degrees wrong... (the X in Xenium pointed towards the front of the xbox, rather than to the back, which it is supposed to)

F*** I said to myself.... I tried to put it the right way, rebuilt the xbox and tried booting...

Say hello to the blinkin` red led.... I tried to put the xenium jumper in the "uppdate" position, but red light here as well.

I then tried booting the xbox (with all the LPC mod intact) removing the xenium and the D0 cable. It now booted correct, and games worked like they should.

What do you think the conclusion is? Did I frie my xenium chip when I connected it the wrong way? I haven`t checked wich pin got 3.3V, but i suspect that something blew up when I booted it that time...

(nothing wrong with the xbox itself as I can see)

    Thank you in advance.

Fant ut av det til slutt. Var nok LFRAME som var dårlig lodding på. Gjorde dog alt på nytt, så det er ikke godt å si hvor feilen var. Funker nå hvertfall.
