Yes, another one of those threads....
I've decided to ditch the Boxee and can't wait any longer for the ATV3 to be jailbroken so I'm considering building my own HTPC.
I would like to have HDMI output (with sound) to my Yamaha 1067 so it should be able to handle 1080p and be relatively quiet. I plan on installing Ubuntu as the OS and use XBMC (any compatibility issues with the components below?). I plan to stream most of media from a NAS running FREENAS.
I'd like the flexibility to be able to add a BD and/or include a 3D graphics card at some point in the future.
Here's are the components I'm thinking of using:
Case: MOREX 6610 MINI-ITX 250W
MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-A75N-USB3 S-FM1 M-ITX
CPU: AMD A-SERIES X3 A6-3500 2.1GHZ SOCKET FM1
Memory: KINGSTON 4GB 1333MHZ DDR3 CL9
SDD: INTEL 330 SERIES 2.5" 60GB SSD SATA/600 MLC 25NM
Any suggestions on an IR reciever that I could configure and use with a Harmony remote?
Total cost comes in at around 2500kr. Any potential problems with this set up?
Do you think it will do the job?

I am not quite sure how the status for HW decoding of video on AMD GPUs on Linux is these days.
Traditionally (last 3 -5 years) Nvidia GPUs/cards with VDPAU support has been the prefered / easiest route.

Hardest bit has been trying to find a cheap IR receiver. I ended up ordering something off Ebay as there were no cheap local solutions
