4K on my Marquee Ultra + blend resolutions

    Hey ladies,

and sorry for posting in engish. I found some time to shoot some resolutions (up to 4k) into my Ultra. 4k is not resolved on a single CRT. :-(

Hi I did see your YouTube videos, but did not manage to see the resolution you tried to show there.

There may be a risk of overloading something in the CRT projector/monitor when trying to run the resolution and frequencies outside the spec.

I think 1080p still looks great on good calibrated CRT projectors… The film like pixel free image of the CRT projector on BD 1080p have some qualities that I don’t think will need to be scaled up to 4K to get a better picture quality (I never actually seen 4K on CRT…) .

The resolution on the tubes is one thing, the optical resolution and the mechanical temperature precision for convergence etc. on a 4k CRT setup, I think will be hard to manage on both single 9” or dual blended setups.

On lamp based projectors with a native pixel resolution, the 4K seems to be a better way to go to get the analog film like pictures.
Uten kontrast, får man ikke med seg alle detaljene.

You are right, also a very good explanation!
Also, as you said, there are risks. No one has tested if the boards of a CRT will get overloaded by 4k when shown for a longer time.
It was just some tests that I did and I wanted to share...
